Meaghan's Voice
Empowering Women One at a Time
Meaghan Walsh was proud to be born and raised in South Boston. She graduated from St. Peter Elementary School, Mount St. Joseph High School, and Curry College. Meaghan made meaningful, long standing friendships throughout her journey. Meaghan's kind, fun loving spirit was infectious to those around her. Meaghan's light shined so bright helping those around her find their way out of the darkness - like the brightest star on the darkest of nights.
In 2020 at the age of 40, Meaghan was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Meaghan remained optimistic, positive and extremely strong during her diagnose and treatments. Meaghan's bright light continued to warm those around her even on her darkest days. Meaghan demonstrated what it was like to battle this merciless disease head on with courage, grit and grace. Meaghan's hopeful optimism and strength was truly an inspiration. Meaghan will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were lucky to have known her.
Our Mission
Our mission is to keep Meaghan's voice and passionate spirit alive by helping raise awareness about cervical cancer. Meaghan was a fierce health care advocate. Meaghan wanted to help educate others about cervical cancer and HPV. Cervical cancer is preventable and when diagnosed early is treatable and can be cured.
Meaghan's Voice was started to make sure we continue to hear Meaghan's voice helping others as she was so passionate about doing. It was Meaghan's wish to bring awareness to cervical cancer prevention and screening to help save at least 1 person from having to go through what she did. Meaghan's Voice will continue being heard spreading her kindness and passion for helping others. Meaghan's voice will continue positively impacting those who hear her message.
